OKLAHOMA RURAL SCHOOLS COALITION 2024 PRIMARY RUN-OFF ELECTION VOTER GUIDE

ELECTION DATE IS TUESDAY, AUGUST 27TH

THERE ARE 10 REPUBLICAN RUN-OFF ELECTIONS ON AUGUST 27TH - 8 of those have verified anti-public ed candidates. WE NEED ALL PUBLIC-ED HANDS ON DECK BETWEEN NOW AND AUGUST 27TH.

EVEN IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN A RUN-OFF DISTRICT YOU CAN STILL HELP TREMENDOUSLY - we challenge every single OklaEd supporter to pick at least one public education candidate to help win their run-off election by volunteering for their campaign in ways that work for you. Our Public Ed Pick candidates will have a page in their profile directing you to volunteer contact information.

WORK YOUR TAILS OFF TO DRIVE PRO-PUBLIC ED REPUBLICAN VOTER TURN OUT FOR AUGUST 27TH AND BLOCK THE ANTI-PUBLIC ED CROWD - these 8 seats will 100% come down to voter turn out in these run-off districts. Contact every single Republican voter you know in these run-off districts and ask them to vote for the best candidate on August 27th. Keep track of those folks you talk to and send them a message the week leading up to August 27th to remind them to vote!!!

Our August Run-off Election Voter Guide is intended to serve as a resource for voters to access individual candidate websites and social media accounts, along with their unedited responses to our candidate questionnaire about public education.

✅ Candidates labeled as "Proven Public Ed Champions" are either incumbents with a solid historical record of supporting our priority education bills across the board OR non-incumbents who have invested significant time and resources advocating for public education in the public/legislative realm over the course several years.

✅ Candidates labeled as “Public Ed Pick” are candidates we believe are the best choice for public education in their respective races.

❌ Candidates labeled as "Caution Ahead" or "Extreme Caution Ahead" have been identified as the most dangerous to public education if elected. These candidates have been identified as such due to highly concerning rhetoric surrounding public education in their public communications AND/OR they have been identified as being affiliated with or endorsed by anti-public education organizations and individuals.

If a candidate has no label it means they did not prioritize answering our candidate questionnaire and we do not have enough information to give them a rating either way.

If your district(s) are not included in this guide, that means they do not have a run-off election on August 27th. We will have additional voter guides coming out for the November final elections which will include all candidates on Oklahoma’s November ballots.

If you are unsure of your House or Senate district number, you can log into the Oklahoma Voter Portal to find yours here: https://okvoterportal.okelections.us/
